little blue sweater
It’s baby season, which means I’m at it again with the handmade gifts. I’ve mentioned before that I really enjoy knitting for kids because you get the satisfaction of making something somewhat complex but on a smaller scale. This sweater took me quite a lot longer than the grey sweater I knit last year since it was made with a smaller garter stitch. The hood is by far my favorite part.
I also love these handmade buttons I found at The Little Knittery. They weren’t too cutesy and with the burned wood, they have just enough character. Off this will go to some happy new parents (Who hopefully don’t read this blog. I don’t think they do.) just in time for the cooler months.
Dude, that is just so so lovely.
This is stupid adorable! I tried to teach myself how to knit in college but then quickly gave up. This makes me want to try again!
This is so gorgeous and sweet! I’m sure the new family will always treasure this đŸ™‚
it turned out so good!! we need to make adult sized ones now
I know! Having finished this one, I think I might make some alterations to the pattern so there’s less sewing in the end.
I agree with the adult sized ones. I will learn to knit to make myself this.
OMG I would die to receive such an amazing gift! So stinking cute.
