Wedding dress details

First I just have to get one thing out of the way…

Shawn Bannon, if you are reading this, please stop.

Just scoot on over to another website please and thank you. We made a deal.

baby turtles

The turtles are just a distraction.

Now that that’s done with…for those of you still here…I want to share some details of my wedding dress. Woah!

wedding dress neckline

It’s still not complete, but I’m bad at keeping secrets. So here are a few little hints of what it will be. Feel free to let your imagination run a little wild.

wedding dress ruffle decisions

There’s lots of lace. More than you see here even though it’s strewn about the floor.

I have to say, with all the things that need to be done and projects that need to be worked on, looking at these photos make me feel oh so much better. Pretty pretty pretty.

You want to see what the dress looks like?

this is my wedding dress

Yep, there it is.

It’s pinned on me. The lace is on it’s way. Needless to say, I’m rather excited.

This is probably the last peek you’ll see until after the wedding.

66 days and counting…

EEEEP! It’s so beautiful! And it’s so AMAZING that you’re sewing you’re own wedding dress! I’m addicted to the show “Say Yes to the Dress” (I know, I know…) and it’s crazy to see women blowing $10K on the “perfect” dress (which are usually super tacky and/or slutty), when really, yours is going to have so much more meaning and heart (and good taste!) than any of those!
I’m so excited to see it finished!!!

  10. wow! i can’t wait to see the final! so nice to see a non-strapless wedding gown for a change!

    • miss alix says:

seriously, the biggest reason i decided to have my dress made was because i had such a hard time finding a dress that wasn’t strapless, let alone a back, which was my only requirement.

  11. Beautiful 🙂
